Store Holiday Hours:
Board Game Demo Day!

On Saturday Dec 15th starting at 1pm at Chat Noir Books we will be hosting a Board Game Demo day!

We have picked 3 great board games to showcase in our Game room at the back of the store. Our good friends and avid gamers Sean Demarce and his dazzling daughter Emily Demarce, will be there to helps us run the games and answer questions.

The three games we have picked are called Seven Wonders, Castle Panic and King of Tokyo:

Seven Wonders: A game of 7 Wonders is divided in 3 ages. These ages are played similarly, each player is given the opportunity to play 6 cards develop his city and build his wonder.

Castle Panic: The forest is filled with all sorts of Monsters. They watched and waited as you built your Castle and trained your soldiers, but now they have gathered their army and are marching out of the woods. Can you work with your friends to defend your Castle against the horde, or will the Monsters tear down your Walls and destroy the precious Castle Towers? You will all win or lose together, but in the end only one player will be declared the Master Slayer! Castle Panic is a cooperative, light strategy game for 1 to 6 players ages 10 and up.

King of Tokyo: In King of Tokyo you play mutant monsters, gigantic robots, and other aliens - all of whom are happily whacking each other in a joyous atmosphere in order to become the on and only King of Tokyo. So come out and check out the action or join a game if there is free spot!

Charlie From the Bush and the Sandhill Cranes

Author Charlie Johnson with be in the store on Dec 19th to talk about his new book Charlie From the Bush and the Sandhill Cranes from 5:30 to 7:00pm. This is a true story. It happened to them! "Charlie from the Bush and the Sandhill Cranes" It is their fifth self published book and their first illustrated children's book. We hope it will be the start of a Series. In it the Crane teaches about Trust and Friendship.

The original story was written by Charlie, in the popular little newsletter "...from the bush", about 3 years ago.
They've edited the story to a child friendly size, made the type big so the little ones, parents and grandparents can read it easily and Linda painted the pictures on hoops of stretched rabbit hide.
